When a regulator is marked as always on, it is enabled early on, when checking and setting up constraints. It makes the assumption that the bootloader properly initialized the regulator, and just in case enables the regulator anyway. Some constraints however currently get missed, such as the soft-start and ramp-delay. This causes the regulator to be enabled, without the soft-start and ramp-delay being applied, which in turn can cause high-currents or other start-up problems. By moving the always-enabled constraints later in the constraints check, we can at least ensure all constraints for the regulator are followed. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
