With the ultimate goal of keeping rt_mutex wait_list and futex_q waiters consistent it's necessary to split 'rt_mutex_futex_lock()' into finer parts, such that only the actual blocking can be done without hb->lock held. Split split_mutex_finish_proxy_lock() into two parts, one that does the blocking and one that does remove_waiter() when the lock acquire failed. When the rtmutex was acquired successfully the waiter can be removed in the acquisiton path safely, since there is no concurrency on the lock owner. This means that, except for futex_lock_pi(), all wait_list modifications are done with both hb->lock and wait_lock held. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
