It was reported that the sha1 AVX2 function(sha1_transform_avx2) is reading ahead beyond its intended data, and causing a crash if the next block is beyond page boundary: http://marc.info/?l=linux-crypto-vger&m=149373371023377 This patch makes sure that there is no overflow for any buffer length. It passes the tests written by Jan Stancek that revealed this problem: https://github.com/jstancek/sha1-avx2-crash I have re-enabled sha1-avx2 by reverting commit |

Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
